thrvrnd asked: In reply to Stoned and Whishaw's junk, I completely am a perv, to the point that I only watched enough of the film to cap that scene (although it was in the service of a friend... mostly). Anyway, in case you were looking for it, wanted or needed it: http://thrvrnd.tumblr.com/post/1141399390/dear-ben-whishaws-junk-hai-there-how-do-i

“When I cast Ben Whishaw it was about having the most fine, young, fabulous actor...”
– From this interview with Tempest director Julie Taymor.  Not a lot (any?) of Ben interviews out there, so we’ll have to settle for people talking about him.

Bright Star Wins 3 Australian Film Institute...
The AFI Awards were held in the past few days, and Bright Star walked away with three awards:  Cinematography (Greig Fraser), Production Design (Janet Patterson), and Costume Design (Janet Patterson).  It had been nominated in a total of eleven categories, and I was sure hoping for more awards (I guess I really do need to see Animal Kingdom—it was pretty much unstoppable at the AFIs). ...

RIP All Signs of Death
The Hollywood Reporter has the news that HBO has passed on the ASOD pilot, deciding not to take it to series. HBO also recently passed on the high-profile ‘Miraculous Year,’ so I guess they’re not shy about canning things with potential. Really bummed out about this one. News is here: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/blogs/live-feed/signs-death-doa-hbo-57936

Go Watch The Tempest if You Can!
The Tempest had yet another premiere, and there are now reviews galore out there.  The film opens in a few cities this weekend, so go watch it if you can.  I’ll try to keep up with actual Ben bits, but it seems he’s busy filming The Hour at the moment, so it looks like he’s not doing press for this film.  :( You can also go listen to the full soundtrack now, over at AOL...

Rather than post the million links I originally had, it turns out that Trailer Addict had already done the legwork and gathered all the Tempest videos in one place.  Go here to view a variety of clips, TONS of interviews (with everyone but Ben…), and a few featurettes.  I’ve embedded one featurette above, which has a bit of Mr. Whishaw.

The Tempest Official Site
The Tempest marketing crew are finally stepping up their game a little.  The film’s official website doesn’t really have anything new, but it’s kind of pretty and has everything together.  The best thing is that they have an embeddable player featuring the music from the film.  So now you all don’t even have to go anywhere but here to listen to Ben’s songs!  Again, he...

MTV featured Ben today as their “Hump Day Hottie”—nothing we haven’t seen before, but feel free to watch their little slideshow.  Glad to see him getting a little notice!
