Ben Whishaw on this morning’s Andrew Marr show.

Ben talks theatre nerves and plans after Peter and Alice

"I think I’m doing a film straight after Peter and Alice. And another play later in the year. I’d better not say what they are, because I’ll jinx them. But my plan is lots more work, hopefully"

[Thanks revstan!]

Ben to Attend the BAFTAs

FYI to all, Ben is listed as an attendee at this evening’s BAFTA awards. You can watch a livestream of the red carpet here.  Even Americans!  Though it looks like the worst, rainiest, ickiest red carpet ever.

Anyone know where an American gal might be able to catch the awards show?  I had read it would be on BBC America, but alas, I had to give up BBCA for financial reasons.  If anyone knows of a good stream around, drop me a line! Feel free to send in pics/videos if our man gets any action.

"He did give me a little bit of a squeeze when we were in bed together, which was slightly terrifying."

A nice new interview with photos over at The Daily Mail.
And here we are in what I like to call the ‘Three Hamlets’ scene: three famous Hamlets all on screen together at the same time. We have Ben Whishaw who was a very young Hamlet, and Rory Kinnear who was a very intelligent Hamlet, and Ralph Fiennes who was a very fast Hamlet. Ralph, of course, on Broadway, Rory Kinnear at the National Theatre, and Ben Whishaw at the Old Vic. And all of them great performances. I teased them about this when we were doing the scene: I said they were slumming it doing commercial movies and then they said ‘and so are you’.

Ben Whishaw charm of has no limits. No one can remain indifferent.

this had been a Q appreciation gifset

Bonus Rory Kinnear!

The Quartermaster Sassmaster

For those of you not willing to watch all 2 1/2 hours of the London Skyfall premiere, here’s Ben’s interview from the mainstage at the event. I held off on posting it for so long, mainly because it makes me so cringy. He’s obviously quite nervous…

I feel you, Ben.

Wired magazine features Ben as Q.

Wired magazine features Ben as Q.

Q: I’m guessing this isn’t strictly official?

007: Not even remotely.

I draw, I think, on everything. I love films. I love music. I love poetry and stories. All of that I feel… I sort of get very excited and fed by… And, of course: life, people. I think that’s the biggest thing, actually. The most amazing thing is when you find yourself watching someone in the café or something doing something weird. It’s amazing what people do, isn’t it, when you just look at them, when you take the time to look. I think that’s the greatest inspiration.

”Please return the equipment in one piece.”

And why is this TV spot not airing on my TV at all times? Q featured quite heavily.
